Dear fellow Americans,
I am the healthcare contact from the North Houston Tea Party Patriots. Our group and yours may be shades of the same color on many issues and certainly on the need for free market healthcare reform. We want to get the message out that there are better solutions for reform than are currently being debated in Washington and we would love to work with you. To that end, our group has produced a DVD that can serve as a ‘healthcare townhall in a box’. It is available through our website. We produced it so that local coordinators or private citizens can hold public healthcare townhalls or just view the DVD at home. In addition, we are planning a ‘Say NO to Healthcare Rationing’ bus rally/healthcare townhall on August 15th. I am writing to ask if you would be interested in working together with us on this event.
Here’s what we are proposing. Our group can provide a bus, decorated with a ‘Say NO to Healthcare Rationing’ banner, and speakers who will talk about healthcare reform. We could drive to a location set up by a coordinator in your group, hold a 15 minute rally with our speakers, raising publicity for your healthcare townhall. When our 15 minutes is up, the rally participants go inside for a healthcare townhall run by your group. The DVD can be an easy way to provide high quality content with little effort on your part, and local speakers from your area and a “get active” session can be added by simply stopping the video.
In 2 hours, our groups can jointly provide area citizens with a pretty comprehensive understanding of the implications of government-run healthcare for patients, insight into the political strategy to move America to a single payer system, a rebuttal of Obama’s ABC healthcare townhall comments by the Cato Institute, and two brief presentations by a working physician who explains that whoever pays for healthcare has the power to choose. This physician, Dr. C.L. Gray, from Physicians for Reform, goes on to outline a fiscally responsible, patient-centered plan that addresses both the rising cost of healthcare and the millions of Americans who lack coverage.
If your group is interested in being a part of the ‘Say NO to Healthcare Rationing’ bus tour, just let us know and we will be glad to coordinate the schedule with you.
Thank you so much,
Julie Turner

Dear Doctor,
Soon Washington will decide the future of American healthcare. The central question is this, who should control the personal and complex process of medical decision-making? You and me? Or Washington?
Government compassion sounds so noble, but we become powerless in dependency. Remember, whoever pays ultimately holds the power to choose. Please, stand up with me and stop the government gaining even more control over healthcare.
I want to let you know of a North Carolina physician who is fighting to preserve patient-centered healthcare. Dr. Gray has outlined a fiscally responsible, patient-centered plan that addresses both the rising cost of healthcare and the millions of Americans who lack coverage.
Please, go to his web site www.PhysiciansForReform.org and see what you think of his plan. If you agree with what he is attempting to do please support him in any way you can. Only by working together will you be able to practice medicine as you see fit. Only by working together will patients like me remain at the center of American healthcare.
Thank you for your kind consideration,
