The Fight Rages On

Fellow Tea Party Patriot, Please help us right now. For over a year, since the very beginning of the tea party movement which has surged across America, Tea Party Patriots have been fighting against out-of-control government. The fight is long and hard, and our enemies will spare nothing to defeat us. But Lady Liberty is threatened, and we must fight, regardless of setbacks, and however long the fight may be.

As Americans, we have a responsibility to stand and fight when liberty is threatened. As Thomas Paine said, "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." (The American Crisis, No. 4, September 11, 1777)

The fight for our liberty is entering a critical phase. We have gained tremendous momentum in the battle to return to the founding principles of this great nation.Today, the majority in Congress are working frantically to impose their twisted vision of a neutered, powerless, socialized America upon us.They know the majority in this country oppose them, and that this could be their only chance. Now they are redoubling their efforts to take our liberties and put us on a path which they hope we cannot reverse.

Politicians have passed legislation taking control of our health care and one sixth of the economy in the process. They have taken over insurance companies, automobile companies, and banks. Meanwhile, they propose even greater power for themselves.All of this is taking place against the clearly expressed opinion of the majority of Americans. In back room deals the politicians and the special interests continue to carve up the spoils, and take our money, our property and our liberty. They must be stopped.

On Tax Day, you came out by the millions at over 800 tea parties around the nation to express your opposition to big government, high taxes and the disregard of the politicians for the sanctity of our Constitution. And the battle rages on. We must stand together in continuing dedication to the cause of liberty.

Our Immediate Need

Our immediate need is to train local coordinators from around the country over the next 3 weeks. We have arranged for both American Majority and the Leadership Institute to help us in the training efforts. At the training for the local coordinators, Leadership Institute will record the sessions so that we can roll the training out to you online beginning in June. The local coordinators having the training first will insure that we are getting the most frequent Tea Party Patriots questions answered in the training.

In addition to the training, we plan to have the weekly meeting we have with local coordinators live face to face rather than having it over the internet. We have only had 1 live face to face meeting so far. It was very productive both in terms of what we were able to accomplish and in terms of networking among the local coordinators from around the country. The planned meetings in the coming weeks will be just as productive.

Tea Party Patriots would like to pay for the local coordinators' room, board, and possibly travel scholarships for those who are attending one of the 2 planned sessions. Your immediate contributions will help make the training and the meeting a huge success for the local coordinators and in turn for all of Tea Party Patriots.
